Creating a Lasting Legacy

In the interest of creating a lasting legacy from the excitement around the 2010 season and the Inuksuk Initiatives Speed Skating Canada (SSC) has established The Inuksuk Legacy Fund. This fund will help ensure the sustainability of programs which will continue to support future generations of speed skaters in Canada, much as the Olympic Oval in Calgary helped lay the foundation for the success of Canadian speed skaters today.

Through the 2009-2010 season and beyond Speed Skating Canada will be running fundraising activities and accepting donations which will continue to contribute to the growth and security of a long lasting legacy. Individuals interested in supporting this initiative are encouraged to make a donation on-line or by participating in one of the planned fundraising events. Activities planned for the 2009-2010 include:

  • Collection of Charitable Donations
  • Speed Skating Canada Awards Gala
  • The sale of Inuksuk Pins and other merchandise (Comming soon - Order on-line)

Speed Skating Canada is a registered charity; all donations over $10.00 will be issued a charitable donation tax receipt.
